Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 29th Biennial Conference of the All India Primary Teachers’ Federation, known as the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sangh Adhiveshan in Gandhinagar, during his visit to Gujarat today. The conference’s theme is ‘Teachers are at the Heart of Transforming Education.’

Following the event, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that at 12 noon, Modi would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects worth around Rs 4400 crores in Gandhinagar. The Prime Minister will also visit Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT city), where he will review the status of ongoing projects, interact with GIFT IFSC entities, and visit key infrastructure facilities such as the ‘Underground Utility Tunnel’ and ‘Automated Waste Collection Segregation Plant.’

On the occasion, PM Modi will also hand over the keys to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of PMAY (rural and urban) projects, and participate in the Gruh Pravesh of around 19,000 houses built under the scheme.

The total outlay of these projects is around Rs 1950 crores. In addition, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs 2450 crores, including projects of Urban Development Department, Water Supply Department, Road and Transport Department, and Mines and Minerals Department in Gandhinagar.

The projects include the augmentation of multi-village drinking water supply schemes, a river overbridge, a drainage collection network, sewage treatment plants, an auditorium, bulk pipeline projects, the augmentation of water supply schemes, construction of flyover bridges, new water distribution stations, and various town planning roads.
